Our Story

Located on the outskirts of Healesville, on the edge of the 'Golden Mile' of world-class vineyards and at the base of the Warramate Hills, Centare Vineyard neighbours many of the Yarra Valley's most iconic wine producers.

The property sits at an altitude of approximatley 100 metres, is softly undulating, predominantly north facing, embraced by pristine Badger Creek on it's southern side and protected by surrounding hills. With the Yarra River 'flats' just down the hill, soils are reasonably well draining, grey river loam.

Centare Vineyard wines are produced entirely from grapes grown on the property and as such, each vintage wine reflects the story of the season against the background of the idyllic location.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People as Traditional Custodians of the Yarra Valley Wine Region and the land on which we farm. We acknowledge their connections to land, water and community and pay our respects to their elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
